unexpected comfort at a price

I left Sulthan Batherie by 10 and I'm so used to the buses now that my journey to Thirunelli was easy, even with a change. I was here by 2.30 and not disappointed by what I found...although the price was slightly higher than I had been led to believe and some negotiation was had. I have a little cottage to myself, with somewhere to sit outside, hot water, cable tv and wifi at reception. The staff are great...very keen that I should see as much as possible while I am here and trying to organise me on various activities. I have agreed to some nature walks from the resort , taking in the nearby temple and a massage ( oil slick or not I'm hooked) but I am refusing any other offers...I want to sit on my verandah and enjoy the view.
